GMCD Associate Supervisor, Mindy Ferrell, honored for work in outdoor education

Mindy Ferrell, a Green Mountain Conservation District (GMCD) Associate Supervisor, was recently given the Montana Wilderness Association’s Brass Lantern Award for continued volunteer service promoting public lands, wild spaces and outdoor education.
One of her many activities included helping organize the 29th Annual Watershed Festival, put on by GMCD and Eastern Sanders County Conservation District, which brings every Sanders County 5th Grader to Thompson Falls State Park for a day of water-based learning.
