Our District

The Green Mountain Conservation District (GMCD) is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural resources of Western Sanders County and educating the public about natural resource concerns.

Our district encompasses 708,524 acres (1,107 sq. miles) of the Clark Fork Valley in Western Sanders County, Montana from Thompson River to the Idaho/Montana border.

Office Hours

The office is open 9am-5pm on Wednesdays.

Regular meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month.

310 permits are due no later than 10am one week prior to that month’s meeting in order to be discussed.
